In this creative workshop, you will learn about the fascinating lacquer decoration technique Maki-e, which was developed in Japan and can be traced back over 1,200 years.  In this technique, artistic patterns, images and letters are applied with lacquer and then finished with fine metal powder. The objects are not only functional, but also a beautiful work of art. After studying Japanese and Western patterns, students will apply maki-e lacquer to a small bowl based on their designs.

(Please note that the lacquer can sometimes cause skin irritation - protective gloves will be provided.)

In diesem kreativen Workshop lernen Sie die faszinierende Lackdekorationstechnik Maki-e kennen, die in Japan entwickelt wurde und sich über 1.200 Jahre zurückverfolgen lässt. Bei dieser Technik werden kunstvolle Muster, Bilder und Buchstaben mit Lack aufgetragen und anschließend mit feinem Metallpulver veredelt. Die Objekte sind nicht nur funktional, sondern auch ein wunderschönes Kunstwerk.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Lack mitunter Hautirritationen verursachen kann – Schutzhandschuhe werden bereitgestellt.
